I want a website, so how does it work?
Well the first step would be to contact us with your request.  During the initial contact, we figure out what your needs are and the best way to accomplish this.  After that, we write up a proposal with a quote for review.

If everything is set to your satisfaction, a contract is written up.  The contract will state the cost and requirements for both both parties.  Deposit is due after the contract is signed.  We charge 1/3 of the price of the quote.  There are 3 phases to every website we do and payment is due before each phase of the project.

Phase I – Design Stage:  Depending on the contract, 2 or 3 designs will be provided for review.  You select the one design you like the best we tweak that design.

Phase II – Development & Implementation: During this stage, we take the finished design and convert it for use on the web.  This is also when content gets added.  All content is to be provided by the client unless you hire us to write content.

Phase III – Final Review:  After phase I & II have been completed, client will review the site to make sure everything is correct and completed.  Once final review is done, site will be made live and turned over.

What are your rates?
Every project is different and has different requirements.  Complete websites and print projects are done on a per project bases.  Photography, website updates, modifications and tweaks are done by the hour.  Hourly rates are: $50 or $35 for non-profits.

Do you offer a non profit discount?
We sure do!  Hourly rates are discounted to $35 or 15% off per project jobs.  Proof is required.

Do you offer hosting or domain registration?
We do not offer hosting.  Operating a server is a full time job and we would rather focus on making your website the best it can be instead of working on servers.  We do recommend westhost.com, vps.net (for more demanding sites) or Cirtex (for sites needing video capabilities).  Stay away from GoDaddy!

As for domains, we do not register those either.  We do recommend gkg.net for your domain name.

I have a design, but I need it converted to html, do you do that?
Yes!  Please contact us for a quote.

I have a logo but I was told it can't be used for printing.  Can you convert it?
We can do that too!  When you send your items to a printer, it has to be a specific format.  Many times clients do not have or never had their logo in print format.  It needs to be in vector format in CYMK.  What you see on the web is raster with RGB graphic.

What is a content management system?
Simply put, a content management system is a web platform where the regular user can enter in text, images and detail without having to know how to code.  It offers an administrator area where you can control most parts of your website.  What we do is utilize these content management systems to reduce costs for you!  Since they are open source and anyone can use them, we design the template or theme for that site.  We also install and modify all the plugins needed for a specific site.

What content management systems do you work with?
We mainly work with the three best open source platforms:

 - Joomla
 - Wordpress
 - Zen Cart (e-commerce)

Even those are the main systems we work with, most systems are similar in nature and we can tackle those as well.  We have worked with many other systems like Drupal, but those are our preferred systems.

Can you make a template/theme/skin for xyz CMS?
In most cases, yes.  Please contact us to ask about specific systems. We do not code templates for Magento as their template system is very complex and not developer friendly.

I am using xyz CMS and I would to convert it to abc CMS.  Can you do this without losing data?
Again, in most cases this can be done.  Doing migrations are time consuming but it can be done.
